Saturday, November 4
Cartagena, Colombia
This historic city still boasts of its original Spanish Colonial architecture. The famous "Old City" is comprised of 12 square blocks filled with attractions, boutiques and restaurants. Its fortress walls, quaint streets and balconied houses are all vivid reminders of its former time. The city's numerous monasteries and noble mansions are significant links to the city's grand past. (B,L,D)

Sunday, November 5
Panama Canal and Colon, Panama
An undisputed bucket list destination, the Panama Canal holds both historical and international significance. It's nearly impossible to grasp its enormity and the amount of work that went into its construction, without passing through its famed locks. The "Panamax" locks will open in June 2017 and our Caribbean Princess ship is set to be one of the first mega-ship cruise vessel to use the new locks of the Panama Canal expansion project. Our ship will be lifted and lowered through the lock system as we traverse this man-made marvel. The Panamax Expansion will double the Canal’s capacity, having a direct impact on economies of scale and international maritime trade. In Colon take an excursion for more insight to the canal, explore Panama’s National Park and Rainforest or experience traditional Embera hospitality through a ceremonial dance and entertainment. (B,L,D)

Monday, November 6
Limon, Costa Rica
Limon boasts pristine beaches, sprawling banana plantations and dense rainforests. Afro-Caribbean influences abound, from the lilting speech and reggae rhythms brought by Jamaican settlers, to the colorful bungalows lining small fishing villages. You may choose to ride aboard the historic railroad that birthed Costa Rica's banana industry and enjoy the lush scenery just outside your window, where you might spot howler monkeys and two-toed sloths!  If you perhaps choose to be a bit more adventurous with a zipline excursion, where you will glide through the rainforest on specially-built traverses and cables for a bird's-eye view of the rainforest canopy. Limon is a zesty little slice of heaven. (B,L,D)
