Favorite Destination: Southwestern Kenya Safari in the Masai Mara National Reserve. I was able to see the “big 5” lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo and rhino and also witness the annual migration of almost 2 million wildebeest, zebra and gazelle. Amazing! Loved staying in a tented camp and being escorted after dark to my tent by guards with rifles. I also have a daughter named Mara (partly after Masai Mara)
Dream Destination: I have always had a fascination of the brave men and women that climb Mt. Everest. I would love to take part in an exhibition just to experience base camp, see up close the Earth’s highest mountain and meet the Sherpas (the one’s that do the heavy lifting). Do you know that on average it takes 40 days from the time you reach base camp to reach the summit? I would need more vacation days to make this happen.
Hobbies: Spending time with family, attending all of my daughters activities, travelling, gardening, eating out and having an occasional good craft beer.
