Cedar Rapids to Los Angeles

We will board our motorcoach en route to the Des Moines International Airport for our flight to Los Angeles. We will arrive in time to enjoy a relaxing evening.

Friday, November 5

Los Angeles

Enjoy a leisurely morning before departing the hotel for our transfer to San Pedro, the port of Los Angeles, where we will board the beautiful Island Princess. Explore the ship and enjoy lunch before we set sail at approximately 4PM. (L,D)

Day at Sea

The day is yours to enjoy! The Island Princess enables you to customize your cruise experience with a myriad of dining, activity, and entertainment options. (B,L,D)

 

Sunday, November 7

Cabo San Lucas, Mexico

Situated at the very tip of the world's longest peninsula, Cabo San Lucas calmly watches the cool Pacific Ocean merge with the Sea of Cortez. Once you experience its crystal-clear waters and white-sand beaches, you'll understand why this once-sleepy Baja cannery village transformed into a popular international resort. A variety of optional shore excursions will be available. Choose to take a boat tour to Los Arcos to see the spectacular rock formations, or try your hand at the golf on one of the famous golf courses. (B,L,D)

Today you will have time to enjoy all of the amenities the Island Princess has to offer. This ship offers endless opportunities to enjoy during your time at sea. Acapulco, Mexico

Acapulco is an international destination alive with gorgeous beaches and nonstop glamour. If you like to shop, treasures of gold, silver, semi-precious stones and diamond-cut jewelry abound at the many handicraft markets and elegant boutiques. You may choose to visit Acapulco’s must-see attraction; the incredibly brave La Quebrada cliff divers, whose daring feats are famous the world over. You’ll gasp for breath just watching these daredevils risk their lives as they leap from the top of 130-foot rock formations. (B,L,D)

Panama Canal, Panama

The massive locks control the level of water in the Panama Canal, enabling ships to pass through this 51-mile "water bridge". This entire transit through the five locks takes about nine hours. Our ship will be lifted and lowered a total of 170 feet as we pass from the Pacific to the Caribbean, crossing over the Isthmus of Panama and straight through the Continental Divide. (B,L,D)

Included: Airfare, airport transfers, hotel in Los Angeles for one night, fifteen-night cruise, all meals on board ship, welcome reception, shipboard entertainment, terry bathrobes for use on board, baggage handling, travel bag, and $213.97 in government taxes and fees.

Not included: Fuel supplement*, optional shore excursions, alcoholic beverages, specialty drinks, sodas and certain snacks, shipboard gratuities, and any other items of a purely personal nature. Luggage restrictions and charges may apply, and will be advised. Optional travel insurance is highly recommended.

Other: There will be no refund for unused tour components.

Group rate is based on a minimum of 20 passengers. All airfare, cruise prices, government fees, port charges and taxes are those in effect at time of printing and are subject to change. Rates from other departure cities available upon request.

*Princess Cruises reserves the right to reinstate a fuel supplement for all passengers at up to $9.00 USD per person per day should the price of crude oil according to the NYMEX (New York Mercantile Exchange Index) increase above $70.00 USD per barrel.

GROUP PHOTO POLICY

Destinations Unlimited, inc. and WMT Radio reserve the right to take photos during any part of the tour and to use them for promotional purposes. By booking a reservation with Destinations Unlimited, inc., group members agree to allow their images to be used in such photos. Group members who prefer that their images not be used are asked to advise their group escort at the beginning of the tour.

 

PROOF OF CITIZENSHIP

All passengers are required to have a passport valid through May 21, 2011. Non-US citizens must have a valid passport and advise Destinations Unlimited, inc. of your nationality at the time of deposit.

 

TRAVEL INSURANCE

Travel insurance is highly recommended and available through Destinations Unlimited, inc. If the insurance premium is paid within 14 days of deposit, pre-existing conditions are covered, some limitations apply. Optional BizPack coverage is also available to protect against business-related reasons for cancellation: (Required to work, business/company merger, business unsuitable due to fire, flood, natural disaster or burglary). If you decline Access America insurance, we strongly advise the purchase of travel insurance through another broker.

 

RESPONSIBILITY

Destinations Unlimited, inc., Clear Channel Communications/WMT, Air Carrier, hotel, ground operators, Princess Cruise Lines, the shipowner, and their affiliates, shall have no liability for loss or damage to baggage and property, or for personal injuries or delay due to the acts or omissions of any carrier, hotel operator, restaurant, or any other supplier of services or facilities caused by weather, strike, war, quarantine or for any other reason or by the shipowner, and is governed by the terms and conditions printed on the cruise contract which is issued to all guests. Please read this contract carefully. Your acceptance of this cruise constitutes your acceptance of its terms and conditions. The right is reserved to refuse anyone as a member of the tour at any time.

The itinerary, as published, will be followed as closely as possible. If, in the shipowner's opinion it is rendered necessary to make changes in this itinerary, the shipowner will not be responsible for any loss or expense caused guests by reason of such change; and to withdraw a cruise before sailing date, in which case the amount paid by the guest will be refunded; and to decline to accept or retain any person for a cruise, whether with or without cause, at any time. It is understood and agreed that a refund may not be made to guests who do not complete a cruise for any cause whatsoever.
